“Foolproof”

“Whether You think You can, or You think You can’t; You’re right.”- Henry Ford

The first time I heard this quote, I thought the person that said this just wanted to sound smart, that it doesn’t really mean much. However, down the line, I understood what it means, and share with you I must (forgive the Yoda in me)

A person can achieve only what they believe they can. That was where the quote came from. It implies that whether You can or cannot is based on what You THINK You are able to achieve.

Your Abilities are determined by Your Beliefs (about your Abilities).

Now look at it this way, it’s like an examination that you cannot possibly fail, like someone asking you your name, apparently (as long as it’s ok with you upstairs) your answer will surely be right. This is how it is when you’re faced with a daunting task.

It’s like going on a road then getting to a junction where the paths go in two separate ways, and you see a sign saying “Whichever path you choose, is right, and will determine your fate”

That’s basically what Henry Ford is saying here, you can’t argue with someone who thinks they can’t do something or someone who thinks they can.

Your Capacity is based on what you think about yourself, how you see yourself, who YOU THINK YOU ARE!!!

It’s just like what the good book says in Proverbs 23:7, As a man thinks in his heart so is he. It’s kind of funny yet awesome how God (after creating us), gave us the power to define who we are and determine who we can be based on our perspectives of ourselves.

There’s no job too big, no task too hard, no journey too long that you can’t handle, but let me be absolutely honest with you, if you think you can’t handle it, then;

YOU MOST DEFINITELY CAN’T!!!

But if you think that come rain come shine, come hail (or whatever else rhymes with it) that you can overcome, then here’s one for the road;

YOU MOST DEFINITELY CAN!!!

I guess this was what “they” meant when they said…

THE BALL IS IN YOUR COURT!

…Now, ‘whach’u gonna do’?
