Can you see the Sun???

“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen. Not only because I see it, but because I see everything by it.”- C.S. Lewis

Breakdown: C.S Lewis is a man I greatly revere, not because I know him or even his story, but his quotes and writings have spoken too deeply to me (whenever I come across them though). He is resolute and skillful, and his words, laced with so much truth and life, always find a way of speaking and connecting people to his original intention. This quote doesn’t fail to embody the aforementioned qualities one bit as C.S. Lewis attempts to elucidate what Christianity is (to him). Just like we don’t need to see the sun to believe, but we see everything by it, our lives (as Christians) should be viewed through the lenses of Christianity (that is our Faith in God and His word), not as an option, but as a lifestyle. I’m not just putting this up as a quote by some man, it’s actually my belief as well.

Christianity to me is not an option, it is THE ONLY WAY.

It’s not just a box that I tick occasionally, it’s what makes me tick perpetually.

It’s not merely a trend for me, it’s a lifestyle, scratch that, IT’S LIFE!!!

The Holy Writ tells me that THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH. Faith in God of course, which is the core of Christianity. You don’t “live by” oxygen as an option, you live by it as a necessity, that’s what “living by” implies. I believe in Jesus the Christ, I believe He’s the Word, I believe in God, as I believe in the sun.

Fact: Jesus Christ is not a way to God. God is not like that place that has multiple routes, NO! There’s only one way to God and that’s through (faith in) His Son; Jesus. As it is written: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6 KJV)
It’s as simple as ABC: Accept, Believe, Confess (see Romans 10:9-10)
